6.2 (6)
Designer: Cuthbert Butchart
Course Opened: 1907

In Volume 1 of The Confidential Guide to Golf Courses, Tom Doak writes that.

“At one particular four-corners intersection near Woking, three of the four corners belong to clubs listed here: West Hill, Woking and Worplesdon. West Hill is the least glamorous of the three, but perhaps the most challenging, with a very good set of short holes capped off by the 210-yard 15th. It’s longer holes are only slightly less distinguished, and notable for the use of cross bunkers, undulation, heather and even a diagonal berm and a diagonal creek at the 3rd to add interest.”

West Hill received a score of 5 out of 10 from Tom Doak and a score of 6 from two of his co-authors.
